The postpartum period is a special transition time into becoming parents and a family.
For New Moms The transition to motherhood can be physically and emotionally overwhelming. Drawing upon my experience as a postpartum doula, nanny, and now psychotherapist, I am pleased to offer online counseling sessions for new mothers who are unable to physically make it into the office for face-to-face sessions. Using the HIPAA compliant online platform, doxy.me, we will meet weekly (as schedules permit), so you can be at home tending to your baby, while also taking the time to get the emotional support you may be craving. The cost for these online sessions is $190/session, and while I do not take insurance, I am able to offer a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
For New Dads/Non-birth giving partners Becoming a parent can be a challenging experience. New Dads/Non-birth giving partners often report feeling like they are "fucking up" while parenting appears to come naturally to their partner. For this reason, I am pleased to offer postpartum therapy for new parents seeking a safe space to discuss and process their feelings without having to worry about burdening or overwhelming their partners. Coming to therapy carves out time to focus on your own unique experience of becoming a parent, while learning tools and tips for managing emotions and communicating effectively with your partner. Choose either to meet online via the HIPAA compliant platform, doxy.me or come see me at my office located in downtown San Francisco. The cost for these sessions is $190/session, and while I do not take insurance, I do accept debit, credit and HSA cards. I can also provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, if you have out-of-network mental health benefits. I look forward to hearing from and working with you!
